Seating Chart

Love this idea of a "Tie the Knot Wedding Genealogy Chart" by Melangerie for a seating chart. It's a great way to break the ice for your guests.

DIY Project: Display Tray

I love the idea of being able to make your own trays for displaying desserts, favors, candy and more. Here is another cool DIY project for crafting fun and inexpensive trays, via the blog Joy's Hope.

Update...

It's a been a few days since I've blogged and I need to get back on track! One of my business goals this year is to blog 2-3 times a week and I've been doing great so far! But this week has been hectic. The SPE team has three fabulous weddings coming up in the next couple of weeks and I've been having major computer issues for the past two weeks.

Here is a sneak peek of what's in store for our upcoming weddings! Make sure to check back later for pictures.

I Do! Chicago Ties the Knot

Labor day weekend my husband and I celebrated our second year wedding anniversary in Chicago! I've been to Chicago a few times as a child, but this was my first time there as an adult and I must say Chicago is definitely a world class city. We had a great time! One of the highlights of our trip was the wedding exhibit at the Chicago History Museum that told the story of wedding fashion through the years. On display are forty-five dresses, accessories, corsets and men’s attire, some dating all the way back to the 1850s. If you're in Chicago make sure to check-out the exhibit.

Style Perfect Events: Birthday Party

Weddings are not the only thing we do at Style Perfect Events. We also love to plan birthday parties, baby showers, anniversary parties and corporate and non-profit events. This summer we had the chance to plan and design a darling High Tea for Miss Adriana who was turning 1 years old.

The style of the party was "Pink and Pearls" and the design was girly with lots of roses, crystal china, pink damask and pearls. The custom details that we created for the party were the centerpieces, backdrop with decoupage letters strung with pearls and the straw party hats with flowers.

Here is the style board that we produced for the event.

The vendors used for the event were:

Rentals and Linens: Party Reflections
Catering: Amelie's French Bakery
Flowers: Style Perfect Events
Cake and cupcakes: Decadent Designs Bakery
Crystal Trays: Belk Department Store
