Outdoor Wedding Fix for your Shoes!

I was next to the fabulous Hayden and Olivia Bridal Boutique at the bridal show on Sunday at the Levine Museum! They have GORGEOUS bridal gowns and accessories! I was so ready to jump in to the Kenneth Pool sample dress they had on display.

Okay, now on to the post at hand. While on Hayden and Olivia's bridal blog, they had a feature on SoleMates.

SoleMates is a product that attaches easily to most stiletto and kitten heels and it prevents the heel from sinking into grass or falling into cracks, by increasing the surface area on the base of the heel and reducing the pressure on this area.

Can you say amazing! Why have I never heard of this. I'm definitely investing in a few pair for the summer.

On Wednesday Macie's Encore Bridal hosted an opening reception for event professionals to check-out their new store and selections.

Macie's Encore Bridal is an off-the-rack and designer sample wedding boutique. They offer new, sample, nearly-new, and vintage bridal and wedding items at a discount. They also have formal wear, accessories and jewelry.

I was very impressed with the selection and the price point.

The Perfect Palette featured some of our work in their inspiration board designs. The Perfect Palette is such a great blog, tool and resource for brides that are just starting the creative process and trying to figure out their wedding colors and style. The site has so many wonderful inspiration boards and color palettes to chose from that you are sure to be inspired.

The Homegoods in Huntersville does it again. Check-out these cute map vases. Love them! They are $12.99 and such great accent pieces for any tablescape design.

It's My Birthday!!!

Yay!!! Today is my birthday and I feel so blessed to be able celebrate one more year on this earth. This year's celebration will be pretty low key. Dinner with the husband tonight, Sinbad comedy concert with the in-laws on Friday (yes...Sinbad is back in the game) and a day in Columbia on Saturday with my August couple checking things off of our to-do list.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention...I got a birthday hair cut yesterday. It's funky and fun! Will post pics soon. ;-)

It's a Celebration!!!

This past year has been incredible. My passion since I was a child has always been entrepreneurship and planning events and last year I was very blessed with the opportunity to be able to go out on my own and launch Style Perfect Weddings and Events.

What a remarkable ride it's been and the journey is just getting started. Charlotte is such a great city for newcomers! I am truly thankful for the many people that have listened to my story, heard my aspirations, believe in my success and have given me the opportunity to showcase my talents.

I could have not asked for a better first year in business and look forward to an even more eye opening second year. The event industry is such an interesting place filled with caring and hard working folks. I love it!

I am just so thankful for the support of my family, friends, clients, vendors and husband, my "not so" silent business partner. LOL! Just kidding. You always need someone who's not knee deep in the trenches with you to provide you with a critical assessment of what you're doing because not everything you do makes sense or is good for your business.

And just a side note to my fellow newcomers and aspiring event planners. You can do it! Just yearn for the knowledge and believe in yourself.
