Menguin - Revolutionizing the Tuxedo Rental

One of my favorite business blogs is Sage Wedding Pros  and last week they interviewed the owners of Menguin. Menguin, a different type of tuxedo rental company, allows the groom in just 10 minutes the ability to customize a tuxedo and get measured all online.

As a wedding planner, I absolutely love this concept! Often times, I accompany my couples when shopping for the groom and groomsmen attire and it's never a simple task, although it should be. Service is never consistent with the big box stores. Some days they're awesome and other days not so much.

I love the idea of being able to offer my couples another option for tuxedo rentals!

Grooming for the Groom

Image via Google by Darcie Michelle Photography

Everyone obsesses over the bride's look but the groom needs to look good too. Photographer, Stuart Meyer shares some great camera ready tips for grooms on wedding day.

Hair:
Shave the morning of your wedding.
Get a haircut a week beforehand.
Get rid of any hair that might cover your eyes. If you have a mustache or beard, Trim and groom your mustcahe or beard, so it does not look shaggy.
Trim stray nose hairs.

Skin:
Not happy with your skin, seek professional help. Facials are not just for girls. Schedule a facial at least one week before the wedding in case you have an allergic reaction or get blotchy skin and need time to heal.

Teeth:
Schedule a cleaning, if it's been a while since you've seen the dentist.
Want a brighter smile, have your teeth whitened.

Tans:
"A touch-up tan looks good, but the most common mistake is overdoing it. Over-exposed skin looks fake and does not photograph well. If you are into outdoor activities, use sunscreen - the best tan for wedding photography is the one you get when just a bit of sun peeks through the sunscreen to increase your natural melanin production." - Stuart Meyer, Photographer

Hands and Fingernails:
Clip and clean your fingernails at least one day before the wedding.

Tying the Knot

Image: The Knot

When it comes to the wedding party, don't leave the guys out!

Many department stores are gearing up for their holiday and after the holiday sales, so it's a great time to score unique ties and bow-ties for the groom and his groomsmen.

Incorporating fun prints and color in to their attire is a great way to add a special touch to your day. Many tuxedo rental places don't carry the skinny tie or fun patterned bow-tie, so check-out your local department store and gift the groomsmen with a great tie or bow-tie for the wedding.
