Flower Girl Dresses

A couple of years ago I wrote a post about finding flower girls dresses (you can read the post here). I wanted to re-post it since spring will be here on Sunday and Easter next month.

Fun Find on Etsy

Everyone who knows me knows that I LOVE fashion accessories! Today on Weddings Unveiled they featured jewelery designer tree & kimball by Lisa Bruemmer. Her designs are so different and fun! They're also affordable! Check out her etsy store here.

Gift "Green"

We must take care of our planet, so it is very important that we take steps to reduce our carbon foot print. One easy and small step that you can take is placing those birthday or shower gifts in a stylish reusable shopping bag, instead of a paper bag that will probably be tossed away.

I always purchase my reusable shopping "gift" bags from Pier 1 Imports! They have really cute colors and patterns to chose from.

Fabulous Local Store Find: "Fierce!"

Today's local store find is a personal one, but I had to share!

I love a great find at a fabulous price, so while at the mall this weekend I spotted these "fierce" shoes in the window of Payless and to my delight they were designed by Project Runway winner Christian Siriano, whose famous line during his season was "fierce".

These shoes are totally "fierce" and I will be placing my order this week!

2011 EVIE Awards

I'm on the board for the Greater Charlotte Chapter of the International Special Events Society and this year I was asked to Co-chair our annual EVIE Awards Gala and Fundraiser. This event recognizes event professionals through-out the Carolinas by celebrating outstanding achievement in a variety of disciplines including event planning, production, catering, graphics and more.

I'm really excited about this year's event because we have a lot of fun surprises in-store and will be introducing the new People's Choice Award.

For the People's Choice Award we asked area designers, florists and planners to create a table top design inspired by our theme: sports/competition. We also asked local caterers to create a dish that best represents their take on game day/stadium food. Guests in attendance at the EVIE Awards will be able to vote on the best food and best table top design.
